Changes to the ID Badge Format

TSS will, in future, issue ID badges which will read ‘Education Services’ as opposed to individual school names.  These changes will reduce the need to re-issue badges to staff that move from one establishment to another. This will eliminate the long delays presently arising from the updating of the personnel staffing database prior to issuing new or replacement badges. 

The benefits of this change would be a reduction in the cost involved in re-issuing badges as well as reducing the administrative time and paperwork required to produce a valid ID badge. 

The image based system is reliant upon photo recognition as a means of identification and therefore affords authorised staff entry to establishments to legitimately undertake work within our school estate.
